Abstract: Toward a pragmatic humanism
In response to Covid-19 we were ordered to shelter in place and wear masks.
The life we thought was stable gave way to a world of fear and anxiety generated by paradoxes where isolation could become synonymous of mental tor ture. This crisis has taken a hold of our lives, bringing out our need for certainties and uncertainties, reminding us of how vital relationships are for humans.
These needs challenge our attempts to find redundant solutions embodied in a systemic world centered on individualistic values. We propose here the principles and strategies that will allow to move from a society of individualistic performances to a pragmatic humanism.
