Damn obsessions
Who has never been haunted by unwanted thoughts that we try to chase away and which keep coming back? Who, anxious at the idea of these thoughts returning, has not surprised themselves by submitting to protective rituals aimed at keeping these thoughts away? When these obsessive thoughts take hold with their responding compulsions, it is called obsessive compulsive disorder. Today, OCD has become one of the leading mental disorders in Western countries and its consequences on daily life can become a real handicap with serious repercussions on social life, work, etc. How to get out of the OCD trap? Claude de Scorraille, psychologist and president of LACT, director of the OCD and Anxiety Disorders Clinic in partnership with the European center the OCD Clinic, will speak on this evil of the century and on the effectiveness of brief systemic and strategic therapies to come to end of OCD.
