This 2-day module aims to share with the student the main elements of functional communication in the management of a therapeutic interview, from the first contact to the conclusion.

This module allows students to deepen their knowledge of verbal, non-verbal and paraverbal communication tools through content sharing, individual and group experimentation and observation of a first session led by Prof.
G. Nardone. The courses will be structured by alternating theoretical moments and moments of experimentation on shared content. Students will be able to practice in small groups the main techniques of suggestive communication: elements of verbal communication (evocative language, restructuring, use of paraphrases and questions), elements of paraverbal communication (use of voice, musicality, pauses, rhythm, tones) and elements of non-verbal communication (look, posture, gestures, facial expressions).

• Knowing and experimenting with the tools of the rhetoric of persuasion: aphorisms that enlighten, restructuring that loops, anecdotes that open up perspectives, stories that suggest and evoke.
• Create sensations thanks to the chosen rhetorical structure.
• Share the main elements of non-verbal communication related to the first impression effect: posture, gait, use of gaze.
• Share and experiment with elements of suggestive communication: gaze, contact, voice, suggestive capture, posture, proxemics.
• Harmonize verbal, nonverbal and paraverbal communication for evocative purposes

This training is open to health and helping relationship professionals who can certify effective practice.

• Minimum BAC+4 level with clinical practice in the helping relationship,
• Psychologists, doctors, psychiatrists, health and helping relationship professionals who can certify an effective practice,
• Correct command of French (being able to express oneself orally and in writing),
• Commitment to practicing intervention sessions,
• Digital prerequisites:
  • Have a computer (with camera and microphone) and a phone in good working order
  • Have a regularly used email address
  • Have internet access with sufficient speed (videoconferencing, video playback)
  • Have a place suitable for monitoring the training
  • Know how to use basic digital tools: internet, messaging, search engine
  • Know how to use word processing tools, spreadsheets and presentation tools (power point type)

Assessment of student satisfaction

At the end of the training, a satisfaction questionnaire will be completed by each participant so that they can assess the relevance of the content of the training with regard to their professional practice and the achievement of their objectives.
