      WEB TRAINING MODULE 2024/25

      Observation of sessions

Attend commented sessions with expert speakers

This 4-session module presents a corpus of real sessions conducted by expert speakers from which students can work and sharpen their observation and identify all the elements that characterize a systemic and strategic intervention.

      Description

This module puts the student in a position to observe a selection of sessions led by different speakers on various cases (depression, alcohol, anxiety disorders, etc.) as well as a selection of excerpts from sessions led by historical speakers from reference (M. Erickson, D. Jackson, G. Nardone, S. Minuchin, T. Garcia Rivera…).

The students observe and compare among themselves the fruit of their observations and their astonishments in order to integrate, from these concrete illustrations, the main concepts of the approach, the elements of the framework and the different characteristics of the intervention ( the problem-solving grid, strategic questioning, strategic communication, the stages of an intervention, the practitioner's posture, the therapeutic alliance, self-observation tools, etc.).

During the sessions, a selection of entire sessions or extracts will be viewed and worked on, alone and in groups, and commented on by the trainer; between sessions, a selection of interventions in their entirety (from the first to the last session) will be available to students and will be the subject of individual and collective homework.

      Training content

      • Link the elements of observed sequences to the fundamental concepts of the strategic systemic approach
      • Situate the different stages of a strategic systemic intervention

      • Situate the work of the intervener on the axis problem/objective/attempts to solve from the complaint/request of the patient/client
      • Identify the impact of the therapist's framework of intervention and strategic communication on the therapeutic alliance and the patient's engagement in the process of change
      • Characterize the elements of the practitioner's posture and the adjustment of his position according to the patient/client's situation and at the different stages of the intervention
      • Compare the different styles of intervention and implementation of the intervention grid according to the stakeholders
