This 4-session module presents the fundamental elements of the systemic model and its main strategic characteristics. 

The systemic and strategic approach

It is based on an intervention method developed by the School of Palo Alto and developed by its current research centers. Its specificity and originality are:

• to know how to apprehend the complexity of human relations and bring a biopsychosocial vision to the psychological and relational problems that develop in ever more volatile, unpredictable, complex and ambiguous contexts. 

• to be strategic in terms of relational regulation by relying on 2 essential techniques which are problem solving and strategic communication, which make it possible to reduce the complexity of a relational situation without distorting it and to obtain effective operational effects and sustainability in resource development and problem solving.

The “ Foundations of the strategic systemic approach ” module includes 12 hours of lessons, divided into 4 sessions and approximately 12 hours of personal work. It presents the fundamental elements of the systemic model and its main strategic characteristics. Thanks to practical exercises based on real sessions or case studies, you will have the opportunity to experiment with the key concepts of the approach and apply them to the intervention grid.

Openings/specialization

The Module " Foundations of the strategic systemic approach " allows to initiate knowledge and an alternative systemic and strategic vision of relational regulations in the formation and resolution of psychological and relational problems. This is the introductory module of the Foundations level of the generalist training in methodology and strategic systemic practice of LACT.

This additional cross-cutting contribution is transferable to different types of activities and functions of support, education and helping relationship professionals or stakeholders in the clinical world.

The foundations of the strategic systemic approach - Claude de SCORRAILLE / Olivier BROSSEAU

Prerequisites: 

• Baccalaureate standard
• Correct command of French (being able to express oneself orally and in writing)
• Commitment to practicing intervention sessions
• Digital prerequisites:
  • Have a computer (with camera and microphone) and a phone in good working order
  • Have a regularly used email address
  • Have internet access with sufficient speed (videoconferencing, video playback)
  • Have a place suitable for monitoring the training
  • Know how to use basic digital tools: internet, messaging, search engine
  • Know how to use word processing tools, spreadsheets and presentation tools (power point type)

Claude de SCORRAILLE : Psychologist, psychotherapist and co-founder of LACT, of which she is the president. She runs the OCD and Anxiety Disorders Clinic in partnership with the European center the OCD Clinic. She teaches and trains via the web at the relationship clinic within the international school LACT. Within the CSAPA of Montreuil, she has a consultation specializing in addiction disorders and supervises the team. She is the co-author of several books and regularly gives conferences.

Olivier BROSSEAU : Strategic coach, therapist in strategic systemic approach and associated with LACT. He teaches and trains via the web at the relationship clinic within the international school LACT at the IAE of Paris within the Master of Administrations and Businesses module "Organizations and behaviors". It intervenes in the field of the regulation of psychosocial disorders in the form of individual consultation and collective intervention within companies and institutions (executives, managers, employees). Co-author "When work hurts", "Strategies for change, 16 therapeutic prescriptions".

Obtaining the certificate for this module requires: 

• to have passed 75% of the homework to be done outside of class (MCQ, videos, homework, collaborative work, etc.) 
• to have attended at least 75% of the course sessions 

Assessment of student satisfaction

At the end of the training, a satisfaction questionnaire will be completed by each participant so that they can assess the relevance of the content of the training with regard to their professional practice and the achievement of their objectives.
