WEB TRAINING MODULE 2024/25
Practice observation
By Vincent Gérard and Olivier Brosseau
Observation of practice is one of the pillars of learning. At different times of their training, students in strategic systemic approach are led to observe experts in their practice (vicarious learning) and the learning work of their peers (at the same level of training), or of students succeeding them in the Training courses.
Description
If you are an Advanced Level student, this module allows you to observe the learning work of practical level students, in their practice course (EN2M6 - Practice of the systemic grid).
As an assistant to the practice exercises carried out in a sub-group, you join a pair of students forming a therapist-patient couple and you observe the questioning of the student therapist and the quality of the therapeutic alliance. This observation can give rise to a questioning (addressed to the therapist or to the patient) to help the pair to progress in their exercise.
Openings/specialization
This contribution makes it possible to consolidate the learning in the concrete implementation of an observation of practice and a strategic systemic intervention; it can be observed by different types of activities and functions of professionals in support, education and the helping relationship or those involved in the clinical world.
Formation's goal
Stimulate the observation of practice and formulate an observation in the form of didactic questioning
Skills acquired at the end of the training
- Identify the sequencing of the questioning of the observed therapist-student and the effects on his patient-student, through observation and questioning, in order to reinforce his own practice
- Formulate an observation in the form of a didactic questioning aimed at helping the therapist-student observed to redirect his own questioning towards the constituent elements of the grid
- Identify the learning rhythms of the practice through the observation of less experienced students in order to measure your progress and those that remain to be improved or discovered.
